Meet our Shine
We have sixteen flavors so far and are adding more every season! Our premier products include a 90 proof IL-LIC-IT Shine, an 80 proof Grape Shine, and an 80 proof Apple Shine. We recently added our 100 proof IL-LIC-IT Gold Shine, which is aged in American White Oak and our hugely popular 60 proof Apple Pie Shine along with our Oatmeal Cookie Shine. Recently our Coffee and Chocolate Shine have been a crowd favorite. Also, new for the 2024 holiday season we have added our Peanut Butter Shine, Sassafras Shine, our Watermelon Moonshine, Wild Bill and Rachel’s Shotgun Wedding Moonshine, and our very special - Mizunara Moonshine - which has been aged for a full year with Japanese Mizunara Oak. All of our recipes and products are hand-crafted with local ingredients and you can taste the difference!

Grape Shine Serving Suggestions
Our Grape Shine is lightly flavored with concord grapes, grown locally and picked by hand. Like all our liquor, it is great on its own, but if you want to try it with some mixers, we suggest the following.
Mix 1 part grape shine and 3 parts grape juice, serve over ice.
Mix 1 part grape shine, 1 part lime juice, and 2 parts ginger ale, serve over ice.
Moonshine Smash
1/4 lime, cut into 2 wedges
5 mint leaves
8 raspberries or blackberries
1 1/2 oz. grape shine
1/2 oz. maple or simple syrup
Seltzer waterPlace the lime, mint leaves, and berries in cocktail shaker. Muddle them 4 to 5 times. Add the moonshine, syrup, and 4 ice cubes. Shake until cold, then pour everything into a glass (do not strain). Serve with crushed ice.

IL-LIC-IT Shine Serving Suggestions
Our flagship IL-LIC-IT Shine is unflavored and one of the smoothest liquors you will find. This makes it the perfect mixer for any drink. Some of our favorites are below.
Mix 1 part IL-LIC-IT Shine with 3 parts of your favorite margarita mix, blend with ice or serve over ice.
Mix 1 part IL-LIC-IT Shine with 2 parts hot chocolate, serve warm.
Mix 1 part IL-LIC-IT Shine with 1 part sparkling wine and 2 parts cranberry juice, serve over ice.
White Rus-shine
2 oz. IL-LIC-IT shine
1 oz. Kahlua (or other coffee liqueur)
1 oz. heavy creamMix moonshine and Kahlua in a lowball glass. Add ice and top with cream.

Apple Shine Serving Suggestions
Our Apple Shine is lightly flavored with locally grown apples of the highest quality. It is delicious over ice on it’s own, but some of our preferred mixings are below.
Mix 1 parts apple shine with 3 parts apple juice, serve cold.
Mix 1 part apple shine with 3 parts hot, spiced apple cider, serve warm. Top with whipped cream for extra extravagance.
Cos-moon-politan
1 oz. apple shine
1 oz. unsweetened cranberry juice
1/2 oz. orange liqueur (e.g. Cointreau)
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1 tsp. maple syrup (omit if using sweetened cranberry juice)
1 lime wedgeShake all ingredients except lime wedge with ice in cocktail shaker for 10 seconds. Strain into glass and squeeze lime wedge over top.

IL-LIC-IT Gold Serving Suggestions
Our IL-LIC-IT Gold Shine is 100 proof IL-LIC-IT Shine aged with oak spirals to give it a flavor reminiscent of the whiskey. Like all any good whiskey, it is great to sip on its own or on the rocks, but if you want to try it with some mixers, we suggest the following.
Mix 1 part IL-LIC-IT Gold shine and 2 parts iced tea, serve over ice.
Mix 3 parts IL-LIC-IT Gold, 2 parts lemon juice, and 1 part simple syrup, and serve over ice for a twist on a whiskey sour.
Shiny Toddy
6 oz very hot water
1 1/2 oz whiskey
2 tsps honey
2 tsps of lemon juice
Mix all ingredients in a your favorite mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick. -
Apple Pie Shine Serving Suggestions
Our Apple Pie Shine is lightly flavored with apples and apple pie spice that will make you feel like you are eating a slice of pie grandma made. While it is delicious to sip on, some of our preferred mixings are below.
Mix 2 oz apple pie shine with your favorite hard apple cider. Serve cold.
Mix 1 bottle red wine, 1/2 cup orange juice, 3 cinnamon stick, 2 apples (chopped), 1 orange (chopped), 1/2 cup Apple Pie Shine, refrigerate for 3 hours, serve over ice.
Hot Apple Shiner
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
3 cups apple cider
1 cup (8 oz) Apple Pie ShineCombine heavy cream and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil on medium heat. Stir in cider, water, and moonshine. Heat on medium until it begins to steam. Serve hot.
